Dark Forces Remaster update now (version 1.0.4), patch notes

Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster is back with the latest update as version 1.0.4.

The patch includes improved music playback times, the addition of HD loading screens, and more. Many bug fixes are also included.

  • Cheats now reset when the player changes levels
  • Improve music playback time
  • Fixed random errors of scripted music events
  • Fix music rotation error
  • Fix random note dropping (sometimes in music, individual notes would stop)
  • Fixed ice physics
  • Fixed some switches not working (like in Ramsees Hed)
  • Fix render mask issue on GPU renderer
  • Fixed 3D model removal bug
  • Performance fixes for Switch
  • Fixed target FPS on PS5/XSX (previously locked at 60 FPS, now runs at 120)
  • Fix texture offset for sky on floor
  • Fixed an issue where the repeat sound stopped incorrectly when it needed to be repeated
  • Fix collisions at high frame rates
  • Fix the switch on the Avenger
  • Fix rare crash when skipping levels
  • Slowed homing missiles to match the original game
  • Fixed some high-resolution textures so that they use a full-light effect
  • Added HD loading screens
  • The weapon wheel now always has the weapon in the same place
  • Added animations to Death Star Plans and Nava Cards
